Five Wishes For My Two Littles

As a mom, I sometimes sit and wonder about my kids. My thoughts vary from where will I get the energy to keep up with two toddlers, to how much would I pay for weekend daycare! LOL! Mostly, I wonder about their future. What profession will they choose? Will they have kids? What will they be like as adults? As a parent, I try my best to raise them to be kind, interesting, and fun to prepare them to live their own lives. My best includes a lot of thoughts, prayers, and wishes. Here are my top five wishes for my kids.

Wish #1 – Find Your Joy

Kids, please take your time to find your own joy. I may have thoughts and opinions on how to make you happy, but ultimately it’s your decision. You can create your own reality because anything is possible!

Wish #2 – Choose to Love Someone Who Loves You Back

Adopt a zero-tolerance policy for people who disrespect you. In your relationships, choose someone who loves you how you deserve to be loved – abundantly and unconditionally.

Wish #3 – Set No Limits on Yourself

The world is harsh enough, especially for two black children. Do not let societal limitations or self-doubt get in your way. Go be great!

Wish #4 – Be True to Yourself

I wish for you to love yourself and to believe in yourself more times than not. Also, please know and understand your worth – you are worth everything and more!

Wish #5 – Know That I Will Always Love You

This should go without saying, but I’m saying it anyway. No matter where you go, no matter what you do, I will always love you.

So there you have it. Five wishes for my two little ones. As they continue to grow and develop into their bigger selves, I hope these wishes and future wishes will come true!
