The Blueberry Farm

Our farm is a U-pick farm and welcomes everyone! During the season, we are open every day except Wednesday, and our hours are 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Our blueberry season is usually from early July to August. All of our blueberries are of the Rabbiteye type. All of our berries are sold by the gallon, and we supply one-gallon containers to use in the fields. However, you should bring a large container or box to carry your berries home.
The Blueberry Farm is located in the northwest corner of Georgia and is a small pick-your-own, family-operated farm. While picking some of the best blueberries in the area, you can also enjoy the beauty of the countryside.
The farm consists of two blueberry fields and one muscadine vineyard. During the season, these fruits are available for you-pick customers. We have about 1,000 large southern Rabbiteye blueberry plants and about 50 muscadine plants.

Our team will point you toward the best berry rows (pro tip: the gray-blue berries are the ripest and sweetest). Gently roll them off the stem, then head back to the Market to weigh, pay, and snag some DGD merch and shop from local businesses before you go.

Hemi Blueberry Farm is a family-owned and operated farm established in 2015 in Greensboro, Georgia. Our first crop was in Late May 2017.
We produce the freshest and most delicious blueberries and we don’t use pesticides. We were proudly certified in 2020 as “Certified Naturally Grown” CNG.
We grow six varieties of Blueberries: Vernon, Legacy, Brightwell, Camellias, Krewer, and Titan (jumbo variety developed by the University of GA) – and four types of Muscadine grapes: Black Jumbo, Black Beauty, Bronze Magnolia Scuppernong, and Bronze Old Fashioned.
Pick your own starts in Late May of every year.
Picking is possible Tuesday through Sunday, from 8 am to 7 pm except Saturday when our hours are 1 pm – 7 pm, but please call us to set up a date and time to book your visit: 770-403-7018 or 404-353-4207.

You can pick your own fresh blueberries from July until October at Lone Oak Farms, located at 7633 Forrest Road, Grantville. Open seven days a week during the blueberry season from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

From up top, you’ll be able to see half the county and more than 300 acres of fruit-growing trees, brambles, and bushes.
Blueberry season begins in late spring. Soak up the sun while you watch your kids’ eyes fill with wonder as they pick their own farm-fresh fruit straight from the source. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience first-hand where blueberries come from and taste the goodness of hand-picked fruit. Who picks? All ages—perfect for family outings and gatherings of all types. Bring guests who are visiting you during summer break. Bring some of your office mates for something different to do together. Bring a date or come by yourself. If once isn’t enough then come again and again!
Check the website for unexpected closings due to dangerous weather or to allow for additional ripening time. The recorded message at the farm is updated every day or more often if needed.
