Welcome to Atlanta Mom

We are a collection of moms who live in the Atlanta Area. We raise our children here, we work here, and our kids go to school here. Local moms writing for local moms: that’s who we are!

Adrianna Poetzsch

Adrianna Poetzsch

Adrianna is a mom of two boys, Julian(3) and Nolan(1.5). Originally from New York, she and her husband moved to Atlanta in the fall of 2018. After moving here, it immediately felt like home for them. Despite the hot and humid summers she loves Atlanta and all that it has to offer for her and her family. After becoming a first-time mom, writing became an outlet for her to openly share all about motherhood; the good the bad, and the ugly. After blogging on her own for some time, she was thrilled when she found the Atlanta Mom community. A former teacher and now stay-at-home-mom, you can usually find her chasing around her boys. When she has some free time she enjoys exercising, reading, or binge-watching a show with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and of course a snack to go with it!

Ashley Paul

Alison Paul

Alison is a Florida transplant who came to Atlanta just in time for the ’96 Olympics. She married her husband Travis that same year and is the proud mama of daughter Carolyn, 21, and son Emory, 18. She is a self-employed web and graphic designer, rooster art collector, and squirrel enthusiast. She enjoys blogging, watching her kids follow their dreams, and spending as much time as possible on her back deck.

Ashley Arinez

Ashley Arinez

Ashley and her husband, Matthew, recently relocated to Atlanta from St. Louis with their growing family (two daughters and a pit bull rescue). You’ll find Ashley sharing about her mental health journey, incorporating her passions into her motherhood style, and encouraging her daughters to embrace their Latin culture. She is a freelance social media strategist, writer and hosts her own podcast, Tell a Mother.

Ashley Pooser

Ashley Pooser

Ashley is a part-time writer and a (former) full-time wanderer. She is currently settling back into polite society after living in a camper and traveling all around the country with her family of five. She is a cautionary tale for never saying never. She tries to adult responsibly, but is basically just flying by the seat of her pants. You never know where you might cross paths with her, but you can bet she’ll be singing car karaoke and documenting all the shenanigans on Facebook and Instagram more than what’s probably acceptable. She blogs about life, faith, and all the lessons learned from motherhood on the road at ashleydoylepooser.com.

Becca Dorr

Becca Dorr

Becca has lived in the Atlanta area most of her life and settled in East Cobb in 2016. After struggling with infertility and going through IVF, she is proud to be a stay-at-home mom to a four-year-old daughter. She is a crafter, introvert, and infertility advocate.

Blair has her MA in Counseling and though she doesn’t get paid to use it, she uses it every day in her house with two wild little boys. Blair started blogging after the diagnosis of her oldest son with a congenital heart defect, which led to his full heart transplant, to process what she was going through. She continues to write and has a heart for encouraging other mothers to live out their full stories, over on her blog wecarryyourheart.com and later this fall she will be releasing her first book, Full, a prayer book written specifically for moms by an ordinary mother!

Dana Shemesh

Dana Shemesh

Dana is a working mom of two active boys, ages 4 and 8. She was born in Tel Aviv and raised in Atlanta. She works as the PR/Marketing Director for the Israel Ministry of Tourism (Southern Region), where she promotes tourism to Israel.  With a background in journalism, she spent 12 years chasing deadlines as a news and documentary producer, writer, international news desk editor, and web editor.  After the birth of her first child, it became obvious she was not going to be the next Katie Couric or Christiane Amanpour. She was still dedicated, but the only thing gained from the grueling weekend and overnight shifts was a case of gastritis. She remembers being “so busy” she could not step away for lunch/dinner/breakfast and would have to shove the food down while hovering over her computer. The disgusting crumbs piling up in the keyboard were hers. As luck would have it, another round of layoffs was near and she seized the opportunity (having survived a few layoffs before). Several months into her severance she was fortunate to find a job in PR and Communications, promoting a subject that felt like a natural fit.

Diana Coffman

Diana Coffman

Shortly after marrying Chad at her dream wedding in Walt Disney World, Diana left the life she knew in Illinois {not Chicago} and moved to the suburbs of Houston, Texas. Nearly four years later, thanks to IVF, she was able to trade in her work clothes and Office Manager title at a large hospital system for yoga pants to manage their household. Just prior to daughter Charleigh June’s first birthday she found out their FET was successful and was expecting TWINS! Fast forward 33 weeks later, twins Campbelle and Coleson were born after a whirlwind morning one Friday the Thirteenth, making them a family of five. Not long after the twins first birthday, Chad, a manager in the construction industry, accepted a position in Atlanta; uprooting their family of five people, three cats {two visually impaired}, two dogs {one hearing impaired}, and what seemed like a thousand boxes to Senoia, Georgia.
