Alison Paul

Alison Paul

Alison is a Florida transplant who came to Atlanta just in time for the ’96 Olympics. She married her husband Travis that same year and is the proud mama of daughter Carolyn, 21, and son Emory, 18. She is a self-employed web and graphic designer, rooster art collector, and squirrel enthusiast. She enjoys blogging, watching her kids follow their dreams, and spending as much time as possible on her back deck.

Ashlee Ilg

Ashlee Ilg

Ashlee is a homeschooling, business-owning mom of five (ages 12 to 1), who lives in the golf cart “Bubble,” otherwise known as Peachtree City. After spending a few years in the corporate world as a magazine editor and website manager, Ashlee and her husband took the leap into entrepreneurship and started a golf cart dealership in their garage. Today, they own multiple companies (don’t worry – they’ve moved out of the garage!) and love encouraging others to also pursue adventures on the roads less traveled. She admits that most of her homeschooling is done outside the classroom, as she has three rowdy boys and another on her hip, along with her one-and-only princess. Speaking of her daughter, Hannah was added to their family through adoption, and it’s fair to say she has added a very sparkly splash of pink to their otherwise team-blue family. When she’s not helping her husband with their latest new venture, or raising the next generation of entrepreneurs, Ashlee can be found either in a (somewhat) quiet corner writing for her blog “Fit & Free with Ash,” where she talks openly of her struggle with body image and her journey to healing, or getting her endorphin-fix in a sweaty workout session.

After battling infertility and repeated pregnancy loss for over five years, she is now a new mom of a beautiful rainbow baby boy, Matteo Makai, who was born via Surrogacy in Ukraine. She loves to write and wrote a children’s book titled Now Imagine: A story for our rainbow baby to cope during the difficult time. She journals about her journey to motherhood on her page @travelingtobaby. She is a world traveler, loves culture, and languages. While Martine and her family have lived in Atlanta for most of the past 15+ years, they’ve spent the past 18 months living in and working from Mallorca, Spain. Due to the pandemic, they had an opportunity to move to the island they love (and where they were married) for a short stint. They jumped at the chance! Their kids are enjoying the friends they’ve made at their new school and they are loving the laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle with picturesque squares, mountain hikes, ceramics classes, competitive games of Padél, ridiculously challenging cycling, and the crystal clear sea just a mile down the road.

While they have been able to offer their family the most incredible experience, they are excited to come back to Atlanta later this summer and reconnect with friends and their ATL community. They are big Atlanta fans and love how green and vibrant the city is plus the incredible and diverse food scene.
