Where to Paddleboard Around Atlanta
Atlanta is heating up, and I’ve found my favorite way to cool off this summer. Rent or bring your own SUP board (paddleboard) or Kayak to one of these great locations. Take in the views and catch some sun, all while getting in a great workout. Bring the kids, they will love it too!

As a beginner SUP boarder, I have found that Murphs Surf Shop sits in some great locations for those who are new to the sport and the area. The Morgan Falls Overlook location was my first SUP boarding experience with my equipment, and even though I brought my board, the staff at Murph’s were extremely helpful. My friends rented boards at this location so they could join me, and they enjoyed their experience. Murphs can answer any questions you have about the area, and you can reserve boards and kayaks to rent on their website.
Morgan Falls Overlook – 200 Morgan Falls Overlook Park, Sandy Springs, GA 30350
Little River Marina – 6986 Bells Ferry Rd, Canton, GA 30113
Glade Marina – 5400 Kings Camp Rd SE Acworth, GA 30102
Allatoona Landing -24 Allatoona Landing Rd Cartersville, GA 30121

Other great spots on my list to check out:
Acworth Beach at Cauble Park – 4425 Beach Street, Acworth, Ga 30101 – Use the boat launch to get set on your board or kayak. You can make a day of it at this location. Paddle and then spend the rest of your day relaxing on the beach!
Old Rope Mill Park -690 Olde Rope Mill Rd, Woodstock, GA 30188—The park is located just north of the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta in Woodstock. Every season, they install a Kayak ramp for those who would like to bring their own board or kayak.
Stone Mountain Lake—1000 Robert E. Lee Blvd. Stone Mountain, GA 30083—Paddle around the lake at Stone Mountain Park! Bring your own or rent a board or kayak at their Adventure Outpost. The lake rentals are now open on weekends.
NOC – Azalea Park – 203 Azalea Dr, Roswell, GA 30075 – Located on the Chattahoochee, this park may be better suited to more experienced paddlers and those who enjoy a challenge. You can bring your board or rent from the NOC on their website!
