Sims Farm
1608 Burning Bush Rd, Ringgold, GA 30736
For over 100 years, our family has been blessed to have this farm, but it hasn’t always been called Sims Farm. In the past, the farm has been owned by ancestral names of McDaniel, Benton, and Sims and was previously a produce farm. Under our name, Sims, the farm became a dairy in 1946. Bernard Sims, current co-owner and farm co-manager operated the dairy until 2004. Because of increased population in our area and the aroma of the dairy, our family decided to shut it down. In 2004, Bernard and sons, Kevin and Jeff, transitioned the dairy into a sod farm. It has been primarily a sod farm ever since.
In 2013, our family decided to add a strawberry patch open to the public. Since then, we began growing other produce and going back to our produce farm roots. We sell seasonal produce for the public to enjoy, and taste what life is like on the farm. Today, we sell sod, beef, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, pumpkins, and sunflowers. The farm is still run by Bernard and his son, Kevin, with the help of Bernard’s grandchildren.
