Buffalo Creek Berry Farm

810 Stevens Grove Church Rd., Lexington GA
706-201-5553

Buffalo Creek Berry Farm has over 2500 blueberry bushes. Blueberries develop in clusters on branches of a flowering shrub; they are small, ranging from 2/10 to nearly ¾ of an inch in diameter depending on variety, with a flared crown on the end. Unripe blueberries change from green to pink to light purple. Ripe blueberries are deep purple and plump – best when their outer waxy cover begins to fade. Ripe, ready to u-pick berries should be sweet and flavorful.

Season – early June to late July. The exact dates vary from year to year. It is best to pick early to late morning. The berries become mushy on hot afternoons which is why we are open primarily in the morning. Sign up for our email newsletter for the first opportunity or follow us on Instagram or Facebook to learn updates on u-pick days.

If you haven’t added blueberry picking to your family’s annual traditions, we’d love to show you what makes it our favorite thing to do each summer! There aren’t many things more rewarding than picking a perfectly ripe blueberry and enjoying the exceptional flavor that you only get from fresh, local produce. While picking blueberries is fun for the whole family, we like to take it up a notch with food trucks, music, and outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy.

We never imagined that we’d buy a farm and make this big of a deal out of blueberries, but when John brought home 2,600 blueberry bushes in 2016, we knew we wanted to make it something our whole community could get excited about. So, plan to come to hang out with us in June and July, bring your friends and family, and grab some of the best blueberries you’ll ever have! We can’t wait to see you!
