Parents Weekend: A Staycation at The Interlock

When figuring out what to do for our anniversary this year my husband and I stumbled across a new development called The Interlock. It’s located in Midtown and it’s the PERFECT spot for an overnight date night this summer, which is exactly what we did!

Parents Weekend: A Staycation at The InterlockWe stayed at the Bellyard Hotel which had amazing reviews and it did not disappoint. We were super impressed with the seamless check-in process (it’s a Marriott so don’t forget to use the Bonvoy app and get those points) and the beautiful modern layout of the room. There were so many cool spots to sit, hang out, and talk while enjoying a drink or meal from Drawbar, the hotel’s bar. We stayed on a Friday night and took an Uber to Buckhead for dinner, but when we returned it was going down at Drawbar. We didn’t expect it to be so busy, but obviously, we’re getting old because Drawbar is THE spot on a Friday night in Midtown and we were late to the party! The hotel manager was so kind to give us 2 drinks at the house to celebrate our anniversary and we enjoyed those in the hotel courtyard which was much quieter than the Drawbar scene (a great tip for a spot to hide away).

There are TONS of restaurants at The Interlock and it is one of those areas where you can carry your alcoholic beverages around on the property so we took a late-night stroll over to St. Germain Bakery and my heavens! This cute little bakery had the most decadent, delicious, authentically French selection of pastries I’ve ever come across. Just a warning everything is mega sweet, but we indulged…I mean the macarons literally melt in your mouth. Some other highlights at the Interlock include Puttshack which is an adult putt-putt concept and Rooftop LOA which is a reservation-only rooftop experience (bar, pool, and restaurant included).

All in all, we had a fabulous time and enjoyed ourselves so much! My favorite part of our stay was eating breakfast on the rooftop of the Bellyard with my love! The views of the city were perfect and the weather was just cool enough to not sweat. We also noticed there was a wedding brunch in the courtyard the morning we checked out. So if you have a special event coming up, definitely give the hotel a call. The entire property is precious and would be fabulous for whatever you have in mind.

If you’re looking for the perfect staycation this summer, give the Interlock a try. Don’t forget to tell them we sent you!
