St. Patrick’s Day Parade
March 14, 2026
Midtown Atlanta
12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
Atlanta’s St. Patrick’s parade – started by the city’s Hibernian Benevolent Society (a Catholic and Protestant fraternal organization) – dates back to 1858, making it one of the country’s oldest.
Participation in the parade is not just an “Irish thing”. The parade attracts individuals and groups from around the city and the South, including clowns, floats, bands, Bagpipe & Drum Corps, children, dancers, drill teams, and more. All groups are encouraged to participate as long as their unit is appropriate for a “family” event. The emphasis is on children and families in celebration of all of Atlanta’s diverse backgrounds on a day when “everybody is Irish.”
Luck of the Square
March 14, 2026
Colony Square
1 p.m.-3 p.m.
The annual parade marches down Peachtree Street, bringing together a mix of floats, bands, bagpipers, dancers, drill teams, and more. But it’s not just an “Irish thing”—this celebration welcomes individuals and groups across Atlanta and the South, highlighting the city’s diverse communities. It’s a day for friends and families to come together and embrace the one day when “everybody is Irish.”
