Barn Hill Tree Farm started in 2016 when we cleared the valley between the hills where Crooked Creek runs through our property. Wanting to share the beauty of the Dahlonega foothills, the idea of growing Christmas trees and opening our farm to guests was planted, and so were the trees.
Making new traditions and quality family time are the best parts of Christmas. We strive to create the best experience picking out your tree, cutting it down, cozying up to a warm fire, and making great memories while enjoying the outdoors of North Georgia. We offer a small retail area with handcrafted items made from farm-grown products you would not find in big box retail stores.
Extra safety precautions are always in place to make your visit safe as well as fun, but keep in mind we are a working farm, so it is best to dress weather-appropriate.

Our goal at Berry’s Tree Farm is to create a family tradition and expose our growing population to an agricultural environment. We offer many activities in order to set ourselves apart from a retail Christmas tree lot or big-box store. We have numerous activities, including train rides, a petting zoo, a concession stand, and pictures with Santa, to name a few. We make fresh wreaths and other decorations as an added treat to everyone’s holiday adventure.
We have been very fortunate to participate in the Trees For Troops program as a pick-up point for many years. Our trees have been featured in numerous movies and films, adorned the Georgia State Capitol and Governor’s Mansion, and been an integral part of the Christmas display at Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta.

We have a huge selection of Choose and Cut Christmas trees out in our fields, ranging in size from 4′ to 11′ in most varieties. Our most popular choices and cuts, the Leyland Cypress and Murray Cypress, have the best and biggest selection with 3 full fields of 8′-11′ trees! Our Carolina Sapphire and White Pines will top out at about 8′ this year, and the Virginia Pines we have a select few up to about 10′.
All of our choose and cut trees are priced at $10 per foot.
Bottoms Tree Farm will be open until December 19.

Starting about a week before Thanksgiving, our Enchanted Christmas Tree Forest is continuously stocked with gorgeous trees brought in from the mountains of North Carolina and Oregon. Fresh-cut trees are shipped in throughout the season. Sizes range from 2 feet to towering giants with a large variety of trees, including Fraser Fir, Noble Fir, layered Noble Fir, Nordmann Fir, Silvertip Fir, and Douglas Fir. Beginning the weekend before Thanksgiving, the Kinsey Family Farm opens the gates for what we feel is one of the finest times of the year! The winter season, and the holiday traditions and joy that accompany it, were the driving force behind the redevelopment of the farm.
We invite you to come roast marshmallows, drink hot chocolate, and listen to holiday music with us at the barn. Once you have warmed your insides sufficiently, you can take a wagon ride out to the fields to begin your quest for the perfect Christmas tree.
During the upcoming season, we will have a plethora of Christmas trees available throughout the farm for families to choose from! We offer a multitude of ways to harvest a Christmas tree, including choosing and cutting your own, pre-cut, and living trees in containers. It will quite likely require some firm family decision-making to find the right tree! Minter Farm is Fayette County’s largest Christmas tree farm, with more than 2,000 trees ready for purchase this Christmas season.
Murray Cypress, Carolina Sapphires, and Blue Ice are trees we grow here on the farm.
The Carolina Sapphires & Blue Ice are shorter-season trees. **REMEMBER: It’s best to wait until the second week in December to start cutting them!**
We furnish saws so you can cut your trees, or we’ll help you. You can drive to the fields, or we’ll carry you on a hay ride. We have materials to tie your tree to your vehicle. We can also drill your tree if your stand requires it.
