Summer Interactive Experiences in Atlanta

Venturing out into the city this summer will not disappoint! A multitude of adventures await, which promise to appeal to even the most electronically attuned generation. Here are a few!

Cosm – An immersive, “shared reality” venue. Virtually experience sports from all over the world from the comfort of your seat, view artistic performances in an 87-foot wraparound LED display, enjoy your favorite movies, and grab a meal too. Located in Centennial Park.

Activate Games – You are the challenger in interactive game rooms armed with technology that responds in real time. It will keep your body and your brain in high gear! Choose your own adventure in either Alpharetta or Buckhead.

Illuminarium – Whether you journey to the moon or embark on a safari, all of your senses will be engaged in this storytelling environment. There’s also immersive yoga for ages 16+. Located in the Common Ground complex on the Beltline.

Pullman Yards – This historic property features a virtual reality space exhibit. Fly out of the atmosphere to observe Earth from another point of view, tour the space station, and listen to astronauts’ first-hand tales in orbit.

Museum of Illusions – I heard about this mind-bending encounter from a student. The world is not as it seems, as your perception is challenged in a myriad of ways. Located in Atlantic Station.

National Center for Civil and Human Rights – Kids will be inspired by “change agents” in this iconic setting. They’ll hear from young people worldwide, take on challenges in interactive galleries, and pledge to continue the mission in their own lives. Located downtown near the World of Coke and the Georgia Aquarium.

Mini Genius Lab – Aspiring scientists are led through hands-on experiments, such as making slime, playing with soap bubbles, and learning about dry ice. Located at the Westside Cultural Arts Center.

Exhibition Hub Atlanta – Two different offerings await you here.  Surround yourself in bubbles, bubbles, everywhere, or get up close and personal with reptiles of the Jurassic persuasion. Located in Doraville.

Atlanta Sports at Atlanta History Museum – Coming May 23, 2026! The Atlanta History Center presents our major sports teams (Braves, Falcons, Hawks, Dream, United, and more) in a variety of ways. Kids will learn about the value of hard work and the lifelong impact of sports. Located in Buckhead.
