When my husband and I decided to have kids, we knew instilling in them a love for travel and adventure would be one of our priorities. We love taking trips, discovering new places, exploring and playing at parks, and spending time outdoors. And while homework, extracurriculars, and their social lives certainly take a lot of space on our weekly calendars, we have never let go of prioritizing family adventures. And what we have found is that the effort spent on each adventure is well worth the memories made.
Luckily for us Georgia mamas, we don’t have to travel far to find a beautiful spot to explore! Georgia is home to almost 50 state parks – they cover the state north to south and east to west. We have beaches, mountains, lakes, rivers, and even swamps; spots for hiking, tubing, fishing, kayaking or canoeing, geocaching, or just breathing in the fresh air!
Atlanta Mom has put together a FREE Printable which includes all Georgia State Parks! A checklist to help track your adventures and plan where you will explore next. It’s no secret that spending time outdoors and happiness go hand in hand – so pick a park and get your happiness on!
