13 Gift Ideas for Teens and Tweens
Finding a gift for teens and tweens can feel so hard!
When my kids were little, finding gifts I knew they would love was so easy. I could walk down any aisle at Target and find 132 different toys that would be perfect for them. However, since we have entered the teenage years finding gifts that fit their style and interests has become a bit harder! And it’s tricky enough to find fun things MY kids love, much less shopping for their friend’s birthday presents trying to ensure I don’t get something “lame”.
This year, our daughter turned 13 and instead of getting her one big gift, we decided to go big in volume! 13 gifts for a lucky 13-year-old! Each gift seemed to be a hit, so I decided to try and help a teenage-gift-searching-mama out by including them all below.
What did we include in our 13 presents? Here’s a breakdown of our teen-approved gift assortment:
1 – Braves shirt & Birthday pin
Because we were headed to a Braves game the night of her birthday, we kicked off the presents with a new Braves shirt. This one has a cute, crop-ish cut to it. We added an “Official Teenager” birthday pin to it so she would get plenty of “Happy Birthdays” while we walked through the stadium.
2 – Mini Handheld Fan
The next gift was well-timed considering the visit to the hot Braves stadium… a cute, handheld pink fan. She’s been wanting one of these and had even given these as birthday gifts to friends, so she was excited to find out that I had secretly ordered her one!
3 – Toiletry Bag & Essentials
Another gift she had given a friend recently was a “Sun” toiletry bag – perfect for stashing essentials for a day at the pool or the beach. I ordered this bag and then made a trip to Target to fill it with lip gloss, mini sunscreen, and hair ties.
4 – Personalized Notepad
When I was a teen, I loved any kind of stationary supplies. Actually, I still do! For the next gift, I ordered a personalized notepad.
5 – Colorful Pens
What goes with a notepad more than some fun pens?! These gels pens have All Of The Colors and make taking notes fun!
6 – “Baby” Stanley
Naturally, we had to include a Stanley. No surprise that this gift is a favorite among teens and tweens. She’s had her eyes set on this cute, “baby” 20 oz Stanley in Rose Quartz.
7 – Butterfly Shorts
Teens and tweens seem to love some comfy, causal clothes these days! These butterfly shorts in Turquoise (her favorite color) were a perfect upgrade to her typical athletic attire. Still athletic and comfy, but with elevated style!
8 – Bracelet Hair Ties
My daughter is always taking my hair ties! So her birthday was a great excuse to get her some of her own. And how cute are these K’lani hair tie bracelets? Now I’ve been stealing hers instead!
9 – Personal Smoothie Maker
Both of my kids love making smoothies between school and their extracurriculars. I found an inexpensive personal-sized blender at Target – ok, this was a present really for our whole household. But, she squealed when she opened this present!
10 – Super Soft Pajama Shorts
These pajama shorts are so soft and cute – plus, they pair great with a solid bright-colored t-shirt to round out the “pajama outfit”. These have become my daughter’s go-to pajama choice for sleepovers with friends.
11 – “Love” Bracelet
Who doesn’t love a product that serves a purpose? Each bracelet purchase contributes to creating a sustainable livelihood for Maasai women and their families. The bracelet fits my daughter’s style, plus it’s a good reminder that she is loved and that she should project love towards others.
12 – Walli Phone Case
It was time to upgrade her phone case and this Walli case is perfect! It has a wallet pouch that fits her Greenlight card + a cute strap for holding on tight. This case is now on my personal birthday wish list – I love it so much and she does too!
13 – Lego Set
This next gift was specifically chosen by my son. He wanted to get my daughter something they could spend time together building and felt like she needed a toy “even if she is a teenager now”. I took him to pick out this Orchid Lego set!
That wraps up (pun intended) my list of 13 gifts for the teen or tween in your life! They were such a huge hit with my daughter that we ordered extras of a few items and stocked a closet for quick birthday gift needs. It helps to have a little stash when you have little time!
