In previous posts, I’ve mentioned just how much I needed to get out and explore Atlanta. For two years I’ve driven past the Radial Cafe with a lot of interest. I even took the liberty of googling it one day just to see what it was about. After perusing my favorite coupon site Groupon I was able to find an awesome dinner for two special. Talk about lucking out! Radial Cafe sits in a very unassuming plaza in Candler Park alongside a yoga studio.
The decor was a nice combination of rustic and contemporary art. Our hostess greeted us warmly as she led us to our table. Our waiter’s name was Chandler and he was an awesome guy to boot! He was sweet, knowledgeable and even agreed to let me photograph him:
The appeal to Radial is their “farm to table” style cuisine. Their food is fresh, free range animals, and no GMOs. Everything, including our cocktails and beers, was organic. To start, I had a Pineapple Martini.
This martini had a smokey spicy flavor to it which gave it a little extra umph. For my appetizer, I went for the Fried Green Tomatoes with Pimento Cheese & Sweet Peppers.
They did not disappoint, very flavorful! For my entree, I had the Salmon BLT. It was parmesan encrusted bacon, grilled salmon on a ciabatta roll with a side of Sweet Potato Hash.
The salmon did not disappoint! It was grilled to perfection and seasoned to the point I found myself inclined to lick the plate. I did not, but I did think about it! To end the meal, I selected the Caramel Pecan Cake
Absolutely divine! I am not a person who generally enjoys caramel flavored food. The cake was rich, clearly homemade very much unlike the franchise, commercial restaurants.
Our experience at the Radial Cafe was superb! The ambiance, the staff, and the food were excellent. I’d recommend this spot to everyone. What about you? Where are some of your favorite places to eat in Atlanta? Leave a comment or join us on our Facebook Page!
