Living in the Jonquil City: A Guide to Smyrna, Georgia

SmyrnaWhen we moved back to our home state of Georgia I knew I wanted to plant our family closer to the city of Atlanta. We looked but couldn’t grab a house fast enough to secure our dream of living within the city limits. We began looking around the perimeter and are so happy to have landed in the beautiful Jonquil City, Smyrna.

This sweet little spot right outside of Atlanta is just close enough to experience the benefits of the city while also enjoying the perks of living in a smaller suburban town. Smyrna features a sweet market village circle, community center, library, festivals, drive-up movies, food truck Tuesdays, our handmade market and don’t forget Smyrna is home to the most recent World Series Champs – The Atlanta Braves.

Resting right on the Silver Comet Trail, you can experience the delights of nature while biking, walking, or running. The community center hosts father/daughter dances, mother/son nerf wars and extracurricular activities such as dance and gymnastic classes.

Smyrna is currently undergoing a revamp of the community circle and will be adding a new Brewery! We are so excited about the new changes. The Battery at Truist Park offers shopping, food, and entertainment with the main attraction being watching our very own Atlanta Braves take on their opponents. Smyrna has a strong sense of community and the fun is plentiful. We just love living here in Smyrna, Georgia!
