Girl Scouts Fun: You Don’t Want to Miss These Events

Hey mamas! If you are looking for a great activity to get your daughter involved in, we have a perfect one that builds friendships, develops character, and creates lasting memories. We have partnered with the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta to bring you the following information on Girl Scouts, as well as some of their great upcoming events! In order to attend these events, your girl must be a registered Girl Scout. To join in the fun, visit join.girlscoutsatl.org

At Girl Scouts, girls have the opportunity to have tons of fun, make new friends and go on fantastic new adventures! They will discover who they are and what they care about, collaborate with others to make a difference and do things they never thought they could, all while making the world a better place.

In addition to regular troop meetings, girls have the opportunity to attend awesome events throughout the year. Our events cover almost every topic, such as outdoors, STEM, sports or nature, and are hosted at some of the most exciting places around Atlanta. Events range in price and can be attended as an individual Girl Scout or as a troop. Some even include the whole families!

Below is a small highlight of some of the incredible events coming up this fall. Did you know that you don’t have to be placed in a troop in order to be a part of these awesome events? However, in order to attend, your girl MUST be a registered Girl Scout. To join, visit this link.

Mountain Jubilee | October 4-6

Girl Scouts and their Dads, uncles, grandfathers or other special men in their lives can enjoy primitive camping “festival-style” in their own tent or camper, or one of our platform tents at our beautiful Camp Misty Mountain in Armuchee, GA! The weekend includes traditional camp activities, horseback riding, cook outs and, of course, s’mores!

Serendipity Mine & Me event gives Girl Scouts the opportunity to spend a weekend away with their mom, aunt, grandmother, mentor, and any special women of their choice without any distractions. Serendipity is held at Camp Meriwether, near Newnan, GA and is the picture perfect setting to re-connect. Choose from a variety of accommodations and enjoy cooking in the great outdoors using camping equipment in unique ways or have someone else do the cooking by eating in the camp dining hall.

Give your Girl Scouts an amazing sleepover at the world’s most magical aquarium!  After the aquarium has closed its doors for the night, Girl Scouts will embark on an exciting night of exploration through the deep waters of the ocean and its coral reefs, learn about conservation and find out how to leave the earth a better place than they found it.

Super STEM Expo | October 26

Jessica
Jessica is an adventure-loving, over-committing, and previously organized mother of 2! She and her husband (high school sweethearts) moved to Atlanta in 2006 after graduating college, ready to start their life in the “real world”. They have experienced so many wonderful life milestones while in Atlanta – lived in Buckhead pre-kids, bought a house in great Smyrna neighborhood, had their first child in 2011 (a spunky little girl, Vivian), welcomed their second child exactly 18 months later in 2012 (a creative and crazy little boy, Harrison), and most recently added a Golden Doodle named Winston into the mix. Jessica and her family have since moved to the burbs of Milton where you now find them past 2 horse farms on the right. Jessica has always loved being part of a community, so when the opportunity to join the Atlanta Mom executive team presented itself it was a no brainer! She loved it so much, in fact, that in 2021 she and Natalie joined forces to lead the team and continue connecting with awesome moms across the ATL!
