Plan a Trip to Hidden Dunes Resort in Miramar Beach

Atlanta’s airport offers a wide range of options, making it easy to escape to a beach destination. Consider visiting Miramar Beach and the Destin area to unwind and escape the daily hustle at the Hidden Dunes Resort.

Hidden Dunes Resort Miramar BeachWe were recently invited by Newman-Dailey Resort Properties to check out the Hidden Dunes Beach & Tennis Resort in Miramar Beach. Newman has been a trusted name since 1985 and has properties in Miramar Beach, Destin, Santa Rosa Beach, and the beaches of 30A.

Hidden Dunes Resort SignWe stayed in a 3 bedroom gulf-side rental with beautiful views of the beach and ocean. For our family of six, it was the perfect size for our family. Our rental was very centrally located for dining, activities, shopping, and of course the beach!

Before we explored Destin, we took the morning to take pickleball lessons from Rhett, who is the tennis pro at Hidden Dunes Beach and Tennis Resort. We had never played before, and with some tennis players in the family, we were eager to check it out. Rhett showed us the ropes on the rules, game play, and even some strategy. We enjoyed our time with him and highly recommend booking a lesson with him and hitting up the amazing courts at Hidden Dunes Beach & Tennis Resort. They feature 5 clay tennis courts and 5 pickleball courts available to rent.

Harborwalk

Located in Harborwalk Village, where you can dine, shop, and even catch a cruise to spot dolphins. Though the weather started gloomy, by the end, the sun had emerged, and we had seen so many dolphins in the water that we lost count.

For dinner, we stopped at the Surf Hut located very close to our resort.

This restaurant is unique due to its location on the beach. Kids and adults alike can enjoy games in the back of the restaurant in the sand playing cornhole or just looking at the great beach views. We enjoyed many fish dishes and drinks for our dinner. It was a thumbs up from the whole crew.

After breakfast the next day, we journeyed a bit further to Fort Walton Beach where the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park is located.

Penguins at Gulfarium

Our family loves animals, so we knew this one would be a big hit. We made it just in time to watch the last dolphin show, where the kids sat in the splash zone. We loved watching all the dolphins’ tricks and jumps. Next, we toured through the reptile exhibit, the alligator area, and then onto the penguin exhibit. We then hit up the sea lion show, were we watched even more awesome performances. The Gulfarium is also located near the beach so while you are watching a show, you can also view the ocean.

We decided to have an early dinner and stopped at Fudpucker’s Gator Beach on our way home.

This is another partner of Newman-Dailey Resort Properties where you can get some extra perks to use at the restaurant or to visit the gators. We had a tour where we learned all about alligators, and at the end we even held one! The seafood options were endless, and we enjoyed the buckets of drinks. The kids were very excited about their Fudpucker’s shirts. Fudpucker’s really was more than just a restaurant, it was an entertaining experience for the whole family.

On our final day, the sun was shining so we headed to the beach to enjoy some sun. Complimentary with your stay with Newman-Dailey Resort Properties are two chairs and an umbrella already set up for you on the beach. After we had enough time in the sand, we headed to one of the many pools located on the resort.
