Oktoberfest Music and Dancing

Helen Festhalle, the center hub of Oktoberfest, is located at 1074 Edelweiss St. in downtown Helen. The Festhalle is set up with rows of long tables so that you can eat and drink while enjoying both the national and international German-style bands playing. Check out this year’s band schedule.

Oktoberfest 2022 celebrations happen in the Festhalle daily until Oct. 30:

  • Mondays through Thursdays: 6 to 10:30 p.m.
  • Fridays: 6 p.m. to midnight
  • Saturdays: 1 p.m. to midnight
  • Sundays: 1 to 7 p.m.

As rowdy as Oktoberfest sounds, it is also family-friendly. Kids under 6 years old get in free and kids ages 6-12 are half off daily prices. Bring your kids earlier in the day to experience the flair of German celebration on their own dance floor.

They now embrace small-town life with the great outdoors at their fingertips, while maximizing their two-acre homestead that includes two dozen chickens, a hive of honeybees, a muscadine vineyard, and a berry patch. Day to day, Haley helps her husband with his small business, manages their on-site Airbnb rental, and wears many (often outlandish) hats for their four kids. But when she has any extra time, you'll most likely find her cooking in the kitchen, being active outdoors with her family, or blogging at hobsonhomestead.com.
