If you’re planning to explore Atlanta’s top attractions, the Atlanta CityPASS is one of the easiest ways to experience the best of the city without the hassle of purchasing individual tickets for each stop. Designed for convenience, CityPASS bundles admission to some of Atlanta’s most popular destinations into one simple pass, giving visitors the flexibility to explore at their own pace.

What is the Atlanta CityPASS?
If you’re not familiar, CityPASS is a bundled ticket that offers discounted admission to some of the most popular attractions in a city. It’s available in multiple major cities (think New York, Chicago, Orlando, and more), but we decided to try it right here at home in Atlanta.
What’s Included in the Atlanta CityPASS?
The Atlanta CityPASS gives you one-time admission to your choice of five of these six top attractions:
- Georgia Aquarium
- World of Coca-Cola
- Zoo Atlanta
- Fernbank Museum of Natural History
- College Football Hall of Fame
- National Center for Civil and Human Rights
You have 9 days to use your tickets, which makes it super flexible, especially for families who don’t want to cram everything into one weekend.

Turning It Into a Staycation
Instead of rushing through everything, we turned this into a mini staycation. We booked a hotel downtown near Centennial Olympic Park to spend a few days exploring our own city like tourists with no rushing, no overplanning, and no pressure to do everything at once.
We spaced out the attractions over several days, which made it feel less overwhelming and way more enjoyable. We could walk to several major attractions, which was a game-changer with kids. No long drives, no complicated parking, just stroller-friendly paths and the freedom to explore at our own pace. For the attractions that weren’t downtown, we just visited one on our way in (before checking into our hotel) and one on our way out after checkout, before going home.

Between visits, we’d stop at the playgrounds, let the kids run around, and just be. There’s Centennial Olympic Park playground near all of the downtown attractions, and the newly updated Grant Park playground near Zoo Atlanta.
Why It’s a Game-Changer for Families
Let’s be real, doing big attractions with kids can be a lot. The Atlanta CityPASS made our trip easier in a few key ways:
Less pressure per outing
Because everything is already paid for, you don’t feel like you have to squeeze every second out of your visit. If your kids are melting down or you need a nap? For attractions like the aquarium, you can leave and come back because of all-day admission. Just make sure you get a stamp before you exit.
Built-in flexibility
You can space things out based on your schedule (and your energy level). That alone made the experience feel more manageable.
Real savings
Buying tickets individually for these attractions gets expensive quickly. CityPASS bundles them at a lower price, which makes a noticeable difference. Children 2 and under are free.

Is the Atlanta CityPASS Worth It?
If you’re visiting Atlanta, it’s absolutely worth considering. But if you live here? It might be even better.
It’s perfect if you:
- have a running list of places you “keep meaning to go.”
- want an easy, low-stress staycation idea?
- are you looking for ways to save on family outings without sacrificing experiences.
This staycation gave us a chance to experience Atlanta in a way we never had before, with a mix of big attractions and simple moments like playground stops and park time. We are looking forward to trying a CityPASS in a different city in the future.
