Thrift and consignment shopping is a great way to find unique clothing, houseware items, art, furniture, and more.
Consignment, antique, and or vintage stores tend to either specially curate their shops with higher-end items or sell items on behalf of the original owner. Most consignment shops are for-profit while thrift shops are typically run by non-profit organizations. Thrift shops tend to be a little more work when looking for specific items but I find a lot of joy in discovering something unique or stumbling across items worth quite a bit more than the asking price. In the age of fast fashion, second-hand shopping helps reduce textile waste and can be so much fun.
