February Family Friendly Events In and Around Atlanta

Now – February 22License to Chill Snow Island, Lanier Islands. License to Chill Snow Island, operated by Margaritaville, creates a magical winter playground filled with snow tubing, ice skating, carnival rides, and snow play for the whole family.

Now – February 28Enchanted Woodland Trail, Chattahoochee Nature Center. The fairies and gnomes have been busy building whimsical houses along CNC’s forested trails. Slow down as you search for houses made from tiny natural objects.

Now – March 15Pete the Cat, Center for Puppetry Arts. Based on the New York Times Best Seller series, this groovy puppet show features Pete the Cat’s most awesome adventures, inspired by some of the coolest books around. Recommended for ages 4 and up.

February 1 Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, State Farm Arena, 2:30 pm. This exciting new experience will feature never-before-seen stunts performed by the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks, as well as the all-new No-Handed Front Flip performed by the FMX riders!

February 1MJ The Musical, Fox Theatre. He is one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Now, Michael Jackson’s unique and unparalleled artistry is on tour in MJ, the multiple Tony Award-winning musical centered around the making of the 1992 Dangerous World Tour.

February 6 Art Walk, Marietta Square, 5-9 pm. Experience the local art scene and dine at the restaurant you have been wanting to try. Good for a date night or a way to casually introduce your kids to local art and artists.

February 6-7Riverdance, Fox Theatre. Since Riverdance first emerged onto the world stage, its fusion of Irish and international dance and music has captured the hearts of millions worldwide.

February 7 Lunar New Year Celebration, Lawrenceville Arts Center, 10 am. Atlanta Chinese Dance Company returns to ring in the Year of the Horse with the Lunar New Year Celebration! Join them as they guide you through the holiday. Get ready to experience traditional Chinese music and dance, and even participate in the show!

February 7Dinosaur World Live, Gas South District. Dare to experience the dangers and delights of Dinosaur World Live in this roarsome interactive show for all the family!

February 7Planet Ice Chill-abration, Fernbank, 10 am-1 pm. Join Fernbank for a morning of icy excitement and frosty fun as we officially open Planet Ice! Brrrr-ing your sense of discovery and enjoy hands-on activities and crafts that explore the wonders of frozen worlds, ancient creatures, and the science of climate and conservation.

February 7Westside Beltline 10K-3K, Atlanta Track Club, 8 am. The first stop of the 2026 Race the Loop series takes us to the Westside Beltline, where you can race through historic neighborhoods, view art displays, and visit popular breweries and restaurants at Lee + White. Test your speed in the competitive 10K (ages 10 & older) or stick to the non-competitive 3K (ages 7 & older), where strollers and dogs are welcome.

February 7-8Bank of America Museums on Us Weekend, Tellus Science Museum. Bank of America cardholders get FREE admission to Tellus Science Museum during the first full weekend of each month.

February 8 UPS Second Sunday, High Museum of Art, 12-5 pm. FREE admission for all visitors.

February 12Galentine’s at Avalon, 6-9 pm. Grab your girl gang for an early Valentine’s Day celebration along the Boulevard! The first ladies to visit Concierge for their shopping stroll map will receive a complimentary glass of wine & sweet treat while supplies last.

February 13 Evening Sky Watch at the Tellus Observatory, 6-10 pm. Come visit our Observatory for a rare look through our telescope, where we will be showing some of our favorite celestial objects in the evening sky. Suitable for all ages, advanced registration required.

February 14 – March 1Lunar New Year Festival, Stone Mountain, Saturdays and Sundays. This Asian-inspired festival pays tribute to the culture and New Year traditions of Korea, China, Vietnam, and other countries that follow the lunar calendar. It features a special Lunar New Year Drone and Light Show, with NEW Fire Drones, a lighted parade, cultural craft activities, live entertainment, and other cultural elements.

February 20-22Atlanta Botanical Garden Flower Show: Heirlooms. An indoor judged competition, Heirloomsshowcases artistry in the divisions of Floral Design, Horticulture, Photography, and Botanical Arts. In addition, the show features spectacular non-judged displays of Ikebana, the Japanese art of floral design.

February 20-22Atlanta Black Expo, Georgia World Congress Center. The Atlanta Black Expo features a wide range of Black-owned companies, all under one roof. Come find the services & products that fit into your daily life.

February 28 – March 15Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Fox Theatre.
