Where to Get Your Seafood Fix Around Atlanta

We all know that living in metro Atlanta affords us a culinary experience many don’t have the privilege of partaking in. It’s the perfect place to be a pregnant woman because all you have to do is Google the type of cuisine you’re craving and if it’s not around the corner from you it’s probably a 30-minute drive or less.

Where to Get Your Seafood Fix Around AtlantaI have taken our abundance of seafood options around Atlanta and come out with my top 5! With summer in full swing and seafood being in season, it’s the perfect time to get your seafood fix around Atlanta.

Ocean & Acre

My husband and I tried Ocean and Acre for our anniversary last year, and honestly, it’s an addiction. Every time we head out on a date it’s so hard to want to go anywhere else. The ambiance is so chic and upscale, yet laid back. The outdoor dining area is beautiful and we love that you can feel secluded even if there are other people there. And of course the seafood, it’s just *chef’s kiss* delicious. You have to start with the oysters! They also have delicious scallops and the lobster roll tastes like it comes straight from Maine. The bonus for Ocean and Acre is that it’s in the Halcyon and is ver family-friendly if you find yourself there with the kids.

Atlanta Fish Market

Date night or special event vibes, with all the options! That’s how I would describe Atlanta Fish Market. It’s located in Buckhead and it’s probably best to make a reservation on Open Table if you’re thinking of giving it a try. We haven’t been here yet but we have a date night planned this Friday to try it out! I first heard about this spot on Tik Tok, the reviews were amazing, and then when doing some research for this post it popped up again. Some highlights include various sushi roll options, great drinks, and everyone says it’s the freshest fish in Atlanta.

Fry Me 2 The Moon

Our family found Fry Me 2 the Moon in the middle of the pandemic on Uber Eats and it’s been one of our go-to spots since then. Their fried seafood is the best but they also have lots of yummy grilled options. Our favorite things on the menu are the hush puppies, fried shrimp, and fried Basa.

Gumbeaux’s, A Cajun Cafe

I’m just so sure that I’ve written about Gumbeaux’s on this very blog before. HA! That’s just how much we love this place. First of all the vibe is SO New Orleans, it feels very french quarter and the food is phenomenal. Head there now while crawfish is in season to get your fix! Our menu favorites are the etouffee, crawfish, and the Fish Ponchartrain.

The Juicy Crab

We love the Juicy Crab for a tried and true option. Their main deal is the “seafood boil in a bag” that has seemed to gain more popularity recently. We love all of the options you can add to your bag, and you can pick your seasoning. It gets messy! Especially with little ones, so wear your “play” clothes and don’t forget to ask for gloves. There are also multiple locations around Atlanta for your convenience.

I hope you’re able to try something new if you haven’t heard about these spots! A bonus is that a few of them are small businesses, and it always feels so good to support them.
