Music anyone? I’m all in! I’ll drive far to catch a live show at just about any venue, but my preference is always a nice outdoor venue.

Here is my list of the top places to hear live outdoor music, Outside the Perimeter (OTP).

Matildas Under the Pines – Check out the new location set on a lovely country, green space. Funky and vibrant backdrop with tasteful and talented musicians from near and far. Purchase tickets in advance online for the musical taste that suits you & reserve your table early by stopping in the afternoon and putting your name on a piece of paper to hold your table/ chairs. Dinner beforehand at 7Acre BarnGrill is convenient and a perfect pairing for your ideal night out.

Chukkar Farms/ Polo Club – Home by Dark music concert series; bring your own food/ drink and get cozy under the stars on a gorgeous property amidst horse country in Milton, GA. If you are lucky, you might even sneak of glimpse of some Polo horseplay going on in the fields behind the stage. Reserve online and be prepared for an intimate and relaxing night out.

Painted Horse Winery – Wine lovers and music lovers will love this sweet spot on a working farm where the wine and scenery are relaxing and quaint. Bring your own food to pair with their winery options. Sip and Exhale.

Fridays on the Farm – West Milford Farm; socially distanced lawn and pavilion barn seats for up to 160 guests. Outside food is allowed; You may bring your own beer/ wine if age 21 and older, but no liquor.

Crimson Moon – Quaint and historic Daholenga; hidden gem dive bar venue with impressive singer and songwriters, many from Nashville. Who doesn’t love the ambiance of a day in the mountains, followed by a lovely dinner and concert at Crimson Moon?

Avalon & Halycon – Relatively new(er) to the Alpharetta and Cumming communities, these ‘mini-cities’ are always posting live music events on their lawns. Check out their websites for some fun after shopping or grabbing a bite to eat in one of their awesome restaurants. Bonus- they are child and family-friendly. 

Ameris concert theaterFormally known as Verizon back in the day, Fall outdoor concerts boasting popular/ big band names are the perfect night out in Alpharetta’s largest live music venue. Lawn or shelter-covered seating options.
