Getting Connected in Cartersville, Georgia

Getting Connected in Cartersville, GeorgiaWhen it was time to settle down after traveling full-time for a few years, it was important to my family to find a great town that truly felt like home. We wanted access to Atlanta for work and adventure. We wanted to feel a true sense of community that can be common in small towns. We wanted to find a place with a vibrant and active downtown area. We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful nature found in north Georgia, so we looked for access to mountains, lakes, and rivers.

While this list of desires may seem impossible to fill, it wasn’t. We found it all (plus even more) in our new hometown of Cartersville, Georgia.Getting Connected in Cartersville, Georgia

Located about 45 miles from the heart of Atlanta, Cartersville is situated in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Along the Etowah River and just minutes from Red Top Mountain State Park on Lake Allatoona, there is never a lack of outdoor fun to be had. If indoor fun is more your speed, Cartersville has that covered as well with Smithsonian Affiliate museums like the Booth Western Art Museum and the Tellus Science Museum. Downtown is home to an unending calendar of events. This includes a weekly farmer’s market, frequent live music, cultural celebrations, lovely boutiques, incredible restaurants, fun murals, and friendly neighbors.

Cartersville had our hearts from the beginning, but this town keeps finding new ways to raise the bar. A few bonuses that surprised us were the food truck park that hosts an incredible selection of amazing food, beer, and wine; having the Grand Theatre and the Legion Theatre offering all kinds of productions throughout the year; and the annual showstopper of a Christmas Parade that brings the community together. After traveling all over, we love where we’ve landed, and we’d love to welcome you!
