November Family Friendly Events In and Around Atlanta
November 1 – Día de los Muertos Festival, Woodruff Arts Center, 11:30am-4:30pm. Enjoy this free family festival at Woodruff Arts Center, featuring live music, a mariachi band, vendors, food trucks, children’s activities, and more.
November 1 – Trick-or-Treat on the Roof, Ponce City Market, 11 am-5 pm. Join us on The Roof at Ponce City Market for a day filled with Halloween magic that’s perfect for all ages! Bring the whole family for a day of sweet fun, games, and treats. Kids of all ages are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes and enjoy a festive afternoon high above Atlanta.
November 1-2 – Chastain Park Fall Arts Festival, Chastain Park. Visitors will enjoy fine art and crafts from approximately 175 artists and artisans, a children’s area, and local food and beverage concessions. Local acoustic musicians will enliven the atmosphere.
Now – November 2 – Native American Festival and Pow Wow, Stone Mountain Park, 10 am-5 pm. This event showcases Native American culture through dance, music, authentic craft demonstrations, cooking traditions, storytelling, wildlife presentations, and more. Tickets can be purchased at the park.
Now – November 2 – Stone Mountain Park’s Pumpkin Festival. Play by day and glow by night. Experience family-friendly park attractions and special fall entertainment featuring favorite classic storybook characters! Summit Skyride opens at 10 am, and Pumpkin Festival and other attractions open at 2 pm.
November 2 – Alpharetta Women’s Half Marathon and 5K, The Avalon, 7 am. From walkers to runners, everyone can find their place at the Alpharetta Women’s Half Marathon!
Now – November 4 – Halloween at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta. It’s spooky season at CMA in October, and we’re celebrating with fang-tastic hands-on fun at the Science Bar, the Art Studio, and CMA Stage all month long! Design your very own haunted house; join in on a spooky cooking show; learn about skeletons and X-rays, and more!
November 7 – Art Walk, Marietta Square, 5-9 pm. Experience the local art scene and dine at the restaurant you have been wanting to try. Good for a date night or a way to casually introduce your kids to local art and artists.
November 7-8 – IrishFest Atlanta, Roswell. IrishFest in historic Roswell celebrates Irish culture, with musical and dance performances and workshops.
November 7, 14, 21, 29 – Xfinity Movie Series at the Battery Atlanta, 7 pm. Every Friday night from now until November 29th, The Battery Atlanta will show a family-friendly blockbuster beginning at 7 p.m. on the outdoor screen in the Plaza. This movie series is free to attend. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a blanket or a lawn chair with them and are welcome to purchase food & drinks from restaurants at The Battery Atlanta to enjoy during the screening.
November 9 – UPS Second Sunday, High Museum of Art, 12-5 pm. FREE admission for all visitors.
November 11 – Tuesdays in the Field, Georgia Aquarium, 9 am-1 pm. The Education team is excited to offer an experience for K-12 homeschool students that provides the opportunity to engage in standards-based instruction at their own pace while exploring topics in marine biology, oceanography, ecology, and other science-related fields. November’s program celebrates the Aquarium’s 20th anniversary.
November 12 – December 28 – Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Center for Puppetry Arts. Rudolph soars back into town with this faithful adaptation of the 1964 stop-motion animated special. Recommended for ages 4+.
November 15 – Cereal Saturdays, Atlanta Center for Puppetry Arts, 10 am-12:30 pm. Revisit classic puppet TV shows from the past in a laid-back, living room-like environment, complete with a selection of cereals, milk, juice, and coffee available for purchase. Cereal Saturday is included with paid museum admission.
November 15 – Suwanee Chili Cook Off and Music Festival, Suwanee Town Center Park, 12-5 pm. Join the annual food and music festival featuring local and regional musicians, chili tasting, vendors, artist market, food trucks, and children’s activities. This event is a fundraiser for Project Green, a local children’s non-profit that helps sponsor children to summer camps, school excursions, and other educational programs that are available to help shape the minds of our kids for a brighter tomorrow.
November 15 – Mercedes-Benz Stadium Move with MADD 5K, Atlanta Track Club, 8 am. Join the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United FC, Atlanta Track Club, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving – Georgia for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz Stadium Move with MADD 5K and be a part of something special. All participants have the opportunity to finish on the field of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and 100% of the proceeds go to MADD Georgia.
November 20-22 – Upper Deck Golf at Truist Park, 7 am-9 pm. Fans will have the chance to play a round of golf throughout the ballpark, down to custom greens on the field, while enjoying great music, cold drinks, food, and a variety of golfing challenges. Pre-registration required.
November 21 – Gabby’s Dollhouse Live! Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, 2 pm and 6 pm. In this a-MEOW-zing musical show, Gabby unboxes a special acorn that needs the magical touch of a rainbow to grow. But when CatRat causes a color cat-astrophe and breaks the rainbow, Gabby and the Gabby Cats must find the colors again to set things right.
November 21 – January 18 – IllumiNights at the Zoo. Experience hundreds of brilliantly illuminated wildlife lanterns and captivating displays that celebrate the beauty and magic of nature after dark.
November 22 – Atlanta Chili Cookoff, Brook Run Park, Dunwoody, 12-4 pm. This much-anticipated event promises an afternoon full of delicious food, lively competition, and family-friendly fun.
November 22-25 and 28-30 – Georgia Festival of Trees, Gas South District. This special experience is fun for all ages and includes a forest of fully-decorated Christmas trees, children’s activities, live entertainment, boutique gift shops, sugar cookie decorating, a Christmas Gingerbread competition, and more.
November 23 – A Magical Cirque Christmas, The Fox Theater, 5 pm. Embrace the holiday spirit with A Magical Cirque Christmas, a variety show full of nostalgia, charm, and awe-inspiring performances for all ages.
November 29-30 – Home Alone 2: Lost in New York in Concert with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Hall. The ASO will present Home Alone 2: Lost in New York Live in Concert with Award-winning composer John Williams’ score performed live to film by a full orchestra.
