5 Swoon-Worthy Beach Reads

My personal happy place is laying on the beach diving into a page-turning romance novel.

I live for a book where I can immerse myself in the setting, one with characters who become my friends, one that tears me apart to finish the final page. Most of these I have not read yet but are written by some of my favorite authors.

These are the top 5 beach reads I can’t wait to read this summer!

Meet me at the Lake – Carly Fortune

I just finished this book and it only took me two days. This page-turning romance took me by the hand and into the world of Fern Brookbanks. With a split timeline and the hope of a second chance at love, Meet Me at the Lake had me devouring every page. If you haven’t read Carley’s first book Every Summer After, I highly recommend having that one on your to-be-read list as well.

Happy Place – Emily Henry

Emily Henry is hands down my favorite author. Her characters are unique and her witty banter has me giggling throughout all of her books. Emily Henry is the queen of slow-burn romance. Happy Place is a second-chance romance with forced proximity and I can’t wait to dive right into another one of her magical settings with quick-witted characters. I’m taking this one to the beach with me.

Yours Truly – Abby Jimenez

I loved her book Part of Your World so much so I was thrilled to see another Abby Jimenez release. I immediately put Yours Truly on my to-be-read list for the summer. Yours Truly features a messy divorce, a hot doctor, and an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers trope. I can’t wait to get my hands on this book.

Things We Hide From The Light – Lucy Score

Book 2 of 3 in her Knockemout series, I am ready to continue diving into the romances of Knockemout, a fictional town in Northern Virginia. Lucy Score is always a must-read for me she writes hilarious banter and steamy chemistry. She likes to include a little danger and excitement to keep you hungry for the next page.

Once More With Feeling – Elissa Sussman

After reading Elissa’s first book, Funny You Should Ask, last summer I had to put her newest novel on my reading list. Once More With Feeling features a second-chance romance and enemies-to-lovers trope with tension and loads of chemistry. I can’t wait to pick up another Elissa Sussman novel this summer!
