Atlanta Area Spots for a Girls’ or Date Night This Winter

Atlanta Area Spots for a Girls' or Date Night This WinterI hope I don’t speak only for myself when I say, since I’m a southern gal born and raised, one thing I don’t do is cold. I’ll take one snow day every year and then it can go back to being 85 degrees because I just can’t y’all. So when it comes to getting some quality time either with your gal pals or with the hubs during the winter months, things can get complicated. However, that doesn’t mean it’s a full stop!

There are lots of options around the Atlanta area that can keep us safe, entertained, AND maybe not so cold this winter. Here are my top recommendations for a winter girls’ or date night.

North Georgia Wineries

There are so many beautiful wineries to visit in North GA! If you’re up for an immersive winter experience, Montaluce has a “wine hike” tour option. You take a guided tour through Montaluce’s nature trails and the vineyard and wrap with a wine tasting. If nature is your thing, this seems like the perfect way to get in some nice scenery for your next girls’ or date night AND there’s wine at the end!

Ice Skating

There are quite a few ice skating experiences around the city but one of my favorites is at the Avalon. Not only can you ice skate but what girls’ or date night is complete without a nightcap? Of course, the options are endless but we all know that Cafe Intermezzo has the best hot chocolate and tiramisu to warm you up after ice skating.

Take a Ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway

Though the fall foliage is coming to an end the sights on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway are still worth it. The great thing is you can choose whether you’d like to sit in an open-air car or a closed car. I’ll just say the Premier Coach option is the way to go when you’re leaving the babes at home for a girls’ or date night. It’s reserved for passengers 18+ and you get hot chocolate to sip on. Can’t beat that!

The Roof at Ponce City Market

Let me just say this: Igloo. Who doesn’t want to eat dinner in an Igloo plus, if you’re out on the town for a date night, how romantic is that? The restaurant 9 Mile Station which is located at The Roof at Ponce City Market has igloos that you can reserve and have dinner inside of. And if that doesn’t scream warm PLUS total winter vibes then I’m not sure what does.

Spa Day

Of course, we live in the south so hopping in the sauna is probably not necessarily your first thought when the temperatures drop, but it’s definitely worth trying. The number of wonderful spas around Atlanta is numerous, so I tried to find you the most immersive experience that would be the perfect girls’ or date night. Spa Land and Sauna in Duluth took the cake! Not only is it clean, but there are endless treatment options and they serve traditional Korean food. You could spend the whole day here, but just a warning you may never want to leave.

These are just a few options for a fun night out this winter. I hope you’re able to take some time to recharge your batteries soon! Not only do we all deserve a break, but seasonal depression is a real thing mama, and a sure-fire way to get ahead of it is to take some time to take care of yourself.

So, I hope when you’re planning your next adult outing you come back here to check out this list. Until then, bundle up y’all!
