Stone Mountain Park Pumpkin Festival

Dates: September 19 – November 1

Location: Stone Mountain Park

Description: Play by day as you enjoy family-friendly park attractions and special fall entertainment featuring our NEW Magic Show and some of your favorite classic storybook characters! Then, after the sun goes down, you’ll glow by night in a whole new light with the all NEW Dino Glow Experience and plenty of other not-so-spooky outdoor experiences! At night, enjoy the glow by night experience. 

Cost: Tickets must be purchased in advanced 

   

Boo at the Zoo Zoo Atlanta

Dates: Weekends in October, starting Oct. 17

Location: Zoo Atlanta

Description: Wear your costume to sample treats throughout the Zoo, enjoy the whimsical Zoo Boo Town, and see all the fun zoo animals. Oct. 17-18, 24-25 and 31. Timed ticketing system: $24.99-$27.99; ages 3-11, $18.99-$19.99; ages 2 and younger, free.

Cost: Tickets must be purchased in advanced 

Train or Treat

Dates: October 24 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

Location: Southern Railway Museum

Description: The family-friendly event features trick or treating at decorated stations around the museum. Attendees 12 years and younger are eligible to participate in a costume contest.

Cost: Included with Museum entry for day

Halloween on the Roof – Ponce City Market

Dates: October 31 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

Location: Ponce City Market – Roof 

Description: No Tricks….just TREATS! Complimentary popcorn and cotton candy (sorry, parents, but come on. It’s Halloween!) plus trick-or-treating at @SkylinePark! Come in your best costumes, it’s going to be a fun-filled day! 

Cost: Admission is just $15 for adults and $7 for kids at the door — no pre-purchasing necessary.

Goblins in the Garden

Dates: Oct. 25 10:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Description: Show off Halloween costumes for a day of treats and activities. Included with admission: $21.95; ages 3-12, $18.95; ages 2 and younger, free; advance ticket purchase required.

Cost: Included in entry to garden for the day

Georgia State Fair

Dates: Oct. 2 -October 18

Location: Atlanta Motor Speedway

Description: Carnival rides, live music, fair food, kiddie rides, petting zoo, pig races, Hollywood Circus, and more.

Cost: Free ages 4 and under or seniors 60+; $5 ages 5-12; $10 ages 13+. Unlimited ride wristbands $25 (all ages). Discounts available for active military. 

Deal Days: $10 ride wristbands on Tuesdays; $2 rides on Thursdays, Disability Day is Wednesday, Oct. 4: Those who qualify receive free admission and ride wristbands for just $15. Caregivers pay $5 entry.

 

Scarecrow Harvest

Date: Month of October/November

Location: Brooke Street Park, Alpharetta, GA

Description: Actual event was cancelled due to COVID, but community has created a similar experience with Scarecrows!

Cost: Free!

Dunwoody Apple Cider Days

Dates: Saturday, Nov. 14

Description: Apple Cider Days is a month long celebration of the fall season featuring weekly family events that are both educational and fun. Events include a twilight cemetery tour, outdoor music festival, trick or treating, and more! All proceeds go towards educational programs and continuing historic preservation of Dunwoody’s early buildings and cemeteries.
