J. Reece Orchards

Location: Ellijay, GA

Description: The U-pick calendar starts on August 24 and goes through October 27. During the week, a petting farm and slide are also available. Reece Orchards has 20 varieties of apples on 120 acres.

Cost: During the week–$2 per person ages 2+ includes access to U-pick orchards. Bags to fill are an additional cost based on size. Weekends– $5 for 3+, but also includes pig races, wagon rides, and cow milking.

Hillcrest Orchards

Location: Ellijay, GA

Description: The Apple Pickin’ Jubilee is a weekend festival held September 5- November 1 (Saturdays and Sundays only) that includes apple picking, milking a cow, swimming pig races, live bands, and cloggers. A farm market and bakery are open every day. There are 2 sizes of apple picking bags to choose from on the weekends. The apple maze is included in the cost of admission.

Cost: Weekdays– $8/person includes a petting farm, wagon rides, and playgrounds. Weekends– $14/person includes Apple Pickin’ Jubilee. 

R&A Orchards

Location: Ellijay, GA

Description: Pick Your Own Apples available weekends in September. Check the orchard’s website for more information.

Cost: pay per bag, price depends on the size of the bag. No admission fee.

Mercier Orchards

Location: Blue Ridge, GA

Description: Check the orchard’s website for updated information.. There is a Market Café on site.

Cost: $4 tractor tour for 4+, 3 and under are free. One peck bag available for $14.

Red Apple Barn

Location: Ellijay, GA

Description: Admission includes a tractor ride to and from the orchard, a cup of cold cider, an apple cider doughnut, rock painting, and a play area. Apple picking is available Saturdays and Sundays in September and October (or until apples are all picked). There is also a pumpkin patch in October that includes monster-sized pumpkins.

Cost: $7.50/person admission, children 2 and under free. Quarter-peck apple bags $4.
