We’re a few months into 2023, and hopefully, it’s going well for you and your families. A few days ago, I was thinking about movies and how I haven’t been to the movie theatre since Covid happened. I was curious about what movies are going to come out this year, and so here we are.

The Super Mario Bros
Release Date: April 5, 2023
Oh my goodness! I’m actually more than a little excited about this movie. I love the Super Mario Bros. video games, so I’m hoping this movie is a great one. The film will follow Mario and Luigi as they try to stop Bowser from taking over their world. There will be appearances from other characters like Princess Peach and Toad. Also, Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong will also make an appearance.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Release Date: May 5, 2023
The film follows the Guardians of the Galaxy as they live in Knowhere. Peter Quill and his team have to save the universe and protect Rocket. If they fail their mission, it could be the end of the Guardians.
The Little Mermaid
Release Date: May 26, 2023
I. Am. Excited! Honestly, I think the grown-ups are a little more excited about this movie than the kids, and I’m here for it. The Little Mermaid is a classic, and I can’t wait to see this live-action version.
Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse
Release Date: June 2, 2023
Miles Morales is back and finds himself across the Multiverse. He discovers a team of Spider-People whose job is to protect its existence. There’s a new threat, and it’s up to the team and Miles to defeat it.
Elemental
Release Date: June 16, 2023
This looks like a fun movie. The movie is about two elements, Ember and Wade, who live in a city where fire, water, land, and air residents live together.
Haunted Mansion
Release Date: July 28, 2023
After moving into her newly purchased mansion, single mom Gabbie hires a tour guide, a psychic, a priest, and a historian to help exorcise her home. This looks like it’s going to be a great movie, especially because of the cast.
Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie
Release Date: September 29, 2023
After a magical meteor land in Adventure City, the Paw Patrol pups gain superpowers that transforms them into the Mighty Pups.
Wish
Release Date: November 22, 2023
The movie is about a girl named Asha who lives in the kingdom of Rosas. Asha makes a wish during a time of need. Her wish is answered by Star. Asha goes on a journey to save her kingdom with the help of her goat, Valentino.
Trolls 3
Release Date: November 17, 2023
There are not a lot of details out about Trolls 3, but Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake will be back.
Wonka
Release Date: December 15, 2023
This film will follow a young Willy Wonka before he opens his world-famous chocolate factory. I love that it focuses on Willy Wonka before he becomes famous as well as how he met the Oompa-Loompas.
Migration
Release Date: December 22, 2023
This movie follows a family of ducks who try to convince their father to go on a vacation.
